The ritual of Ramadhan: fasting break with colleagues from FE UGM Jogjakarta. Throwing old jokes and stories has never been better.
As what have been customary for the past couple of years, we had ex Andersen reunion while 'buka puasa'. This year we had it in Samudera Suki restaurant.
We attended Agung and Cika house warming party. They just moved in to their new house at Pondok Indah area. The house has modern minimalist design with few touch of wooden arts, which is nice. Congrats Gung, Cik!
One of our Singapore International Foundation fellow from Thailand, Nat, visited Jakarta for business. Ubai, Rey, Miki and me had dinner with her in Grand Hyatt hotel. We haven't met for 13 years, so it's been a good reunion.
I played golf with buddies from high school: Gravin and Ardianullah (Sumbel) at Sentul Highland. Had lots of fun as we came from the same golf 'school' at Bontang. Old jokes still made lots of laugh.
Obviously, 'More Than Words' is Extreme's most popular song for general audience. You can see the lights coming from audience's hand phone, trying to capture video or just a picture of Nuno and Gary singing their most famous song.
I and Agung watch Extreme show tonight. We came in early, and have to wait for an hour before the show begin.
HR 'Metalheads' during AAMI farewell party at Forbidden City tonight.
Our dear friend Richard is getting married today at Hotel Dharmawangsa. He marries Ellia, former office mate whom he met at HSBC. Of course we did not miss the opportunity to take our ritual 'DEWA' like pose with the bride and the groom. Hehehe..
Had match play game today for my mailing list Golf Club againts Pak Eddy Ruswandi. We both felt great deal of pressure which made us play worse than our usual standard. Playing with 7 strokes lower handicap, I did not make enough putts and made too many cheap mistakes. In the end I lost 1 down. Damn! Kopi pahiiit!
The entire family, including my mother in law, took photo together with Noot.
I had dinner together with Jason and Noot, my old Friends from Singapore International Foundation Asian Student Fellowship back in 1996. They work and live in Bangkok, and we haven't met for long time, so we catch up with each other at a cafe in Paragon Siam Mall.
I was asked by my long time friend Dino to Be a part for his company's commercial Ad. The Ad is related with English Premiership Football, to which I am a fan. Lets see how it turns out in one month time ;-)
Finally, the final ritual of fasting break. Now it's the turn of colleagues from Andersen alumni. Another great memories, another good laugh shared. See you next year!
Ramadhan is always become a month of reunion. Tonight I have great time with my friends from FE UGM at Q Smokehouse. 'Hehehe wong ndeso kok mangan steak'
Me, Rey, Ubai, Hudaya, Mickey met for the first time for probably three years. We were the scholars for Singapore International Foundation Student Fellowship back in 1996, We had fasting break together at Pacific Place. It's always good to meet old friends and remember the good times we had before.
As planned, the money from Piggy Bank is donated to charity on behalf of our late friend Dicky. I handed the envelope to Agung, our friend who works at Sampoerna Foundation, who will help to donate the fund. Rest in peace my friend. We all miss you.
After strugglingly break the Piggy Bank, we count the money inside. Personally I thought there were only 600 thousands rupiah inside. But we found out there are more than 1 million rupiah (Rp. 1.037.000 to be exact). Well, our late friend Dicky was the biggest contributor. :-)
Today the ex-Andersen and Ernst & Young people solution gathered to break our piggy bank which kept our penalty money for being late coming to the office. The piggy bank served us during period of 2004-2005.
The news came like thunder in a clear day. Our dear friend, Thomas Dicky Suharlan (Dicky) passed away last night because of a car accident. We all lost a truly great friend, whose appearance and smile always bring the lighter and joyful side of life. Farewell my friend, we'll miss you for sure.
