Earth Hour: Leave the TV On

Even though he supports it, Rafif apparently doesn't really like the implication of Earth Hour. While he accepted the turn-off-the-light campaign, he asked of to leave the TV on for him. Oh well.

Earth Hour: Abandoned Entertainment Center

My entertainment center was left abandoned. Well, just for an hour to support Earth Hour today. All lights were turned off.

Aya's Student Led Conference

Today I and Elok went to Aya's school, Tara Salvia, for "Student-led Conference" session. In this session, Aya, as the student, led a presentation to us, the parents, explaining what she learned during the half semester together with her teacher (Ms. Rini, as shown here). Aya was very shy, particularly because I was there, but she got the job done. At the end of the session, Aya made an "objective setting" on the things she would like to improve by the end of semester. Aya listed out "self confidence" and "be more active at discussion" as her improvement goals. Very good! Lebih baik lagi ya Nak di bulan Juni! :)

Coming back from Mas Oyi house, I was unlucky to have flat tyre at the toll road. So I had to replace the tyre, which was quite an exercise. Rafif took this photo.

"Wayang Kulit" Shadow Puppet Show

The classic scene when the shadow Puppet is played by the puppet master ('dalang'). He played 'Dewa Amral' based on request of my father-in-law for his 70th Birthday event. Very entertaining and exciting.

Father-in-law 70th Birthday

My father in law, Drs. Solichin, celebrates his 70th Birthday in grand. Took place in Gedung Pewayangan Kautaman, he invited all of his old friends, and launched his memoir book 'Digelar Pada Layar'. Handicapped Musical Ensemble

A group of handicapped people, mostly deaf and blind, played musical ensemble in harmony at Plaza fX Sudirman. I was really touched and almost in tears watching them, as they were trying so hard to perform, and succesfully doing so. If they can do it with all their limitations, what do really stop us? God bless them.
