Jimbaran Resto Ancol

The best thing about Bali you can find in Jakarta without going there: Jimbaran restaurant at Ancol. It has beach side, open air restaurant which replicates Jimbaran sea food place in Bali. Tonight it has Balinese dance and music performance, an excellent way to showcase total Balinese atmosphere.

On the Top of The World

Elok and Aya sit on Dufan's ferris wheel while we are on the top altitude. An attraction that never gets old.

Sea World Tunnel

Aside Dufan, Sea World remains to become favourite among Ancol visitors. Here we observe the fish through its giant aquarium tunnel.

Morning Cycling at Ancol

We spend two nights in Mercure Ancol this long weekend. Ancol offers lots of family entertainments from theme park, beach to giant aquarium. We opted to do cycling around the beach this morning. Fun and healthy.

Blue Marked Finger

Those who had voted will be marked with this permanent blue ink on their finger which will stay for 2-3 days. This will cease for a person to vote twice. I have exercised my right to Vote! Now ladies and gentlemen, please use our vote responsibly! Allah bless us.

The Voting Sheet

Here is the Voting Sheet to vote your legislative party of choice. Well with so much names unheard of, most of Indonesians have only 5-8 choices. My vote is in!

Elok Exercises Her Right to Vote

Elok is exercising her right to vote, accompanied by the ever curious Aya :-)

List of Candidates

Supposedly we can look at the names of Candidates it this board. But our Voting post received only 1 from 3 lists, and none of the candidates I personally know or heard of. Oh well. At least I know which party to choose.

Our Voting Post

This is our voting post, TPS 33 Bambu Apus, where we will exercise our vote. This is the typical Indonesian voting post, decorated just like traditional Wedding tent.

Let's Go to Vote!

Today is election day for Indonesia to choose our legislative representatives. I and Elok are registered as voters in Bambu Apus, Elok's mother house. As good citizens we all go together to TPS (Tempat Pemungutan Suara), or voting place. As shown are Uki, Endah, Elok and Elok's mom.

We have supper tonight at Wiwied, popular Roti Bakar place, just few minutes from our house. Aya and Rafif enjoy the food as much as we do.

Helping Out Aya on Her Project

The Suka Motret Group

From left to right: Rima (apparently annoyed with the flying bee on her right side), Anung, Dine, Marcus, Cika, Iben and Winny (not shown, as she was the one who took photo.. sorry Win!)

Situ Gunung

This is Situ Gunung lake, our destination for photo hunting. Alas, as we were so tired, had just arrived in our camp at midnight, we woke us late and could not catch the early morning sun. So much for a photo trip.

The Camping Ground

Our camping ground for this photo hunting trip. It's nice and really can make us sleep well last night.

Five Star Camp

We spent a night at Tanakita camp, a so called 'five star' camping site. The comfortable beds inside the tent really invite the tired body and legs to lay down and call it a day.

On the Way to Situ Gunung

My office photography buddies arrange a photo hunting trip to Situ Gunung lake. We left the office quite late, had a dinner first in Jakarta, and stopped by a rest area near Ciawi toll gate. Hope we still have energy to wake us early tomorrow.
