Bali without Beach is Nothing!

Yeah, why should we go to Bali if we don't see the beach? The HR team is having fun at the rather ordinary beach at Alila Manggis.

We have our praying service tonight before the holy month Ramadhan at my in-laws' house. This is to send our prayer to our parents who have left before us.

Fly out with Typhoon Looming

With Typhoon no 8 looming, my flight finally got clearance to take off after 30 minutes delay. A nervy first 10 minutes I would say, as my plane climbed in dense clouds. But if we would have taken off an hour later, my flight would have been cancelled, as when I arrived in Jakarta, I found out that Typhoon no 9 has just hit HK, which left everyone there stranded. Thank God.

HK Airport Express

Riding the Airport Express train to airport is much, much, much more convenient than taking a cab. It only costs HKD100, much lower than a cab fare of HKD350. It is also faster, take only 25 mins to airport from downtown. A taxi will need at least 40 mins. Oh and another plus: you can check in yourself and your baggage at the station. No traffic, no hassles. Perfect. When will Jakarta have this kind of transportation?

Ride the Star Ferry

Took the historic ferry ride from Harbour City to Hong Kong island. A short 10 minutes ride with scenic view of Hong Kong landscape. Not bad.

EA Sports Exhibition

Visited The Peak for second successive week, as we have team dinner here. Got a chance to visit Electronic Arts game exhibition. Cool stuffs.

Lunch with the Team

Have a quick lunch break with Human Resources Shared Services Integration Team at CKC building. No, I'm not the only male here. The one who took this picture is Abee, a guy colleague from India.

Balap Karung: Unbeatable!

Rafif, in the middle lane, started off his part for a 'Balap Karung' relay race together with me. He's done his part quite well, only got behind few steps from the leader. At the end of the lane I then relayed the race and scorched to the finish line for another 1st place! I'm quite unbeatable for this kind of race, wanna try? ;-)

Lomba Makan Kerupuk

Aside from flag raising ceremony, we also participated in various Indonesian traditional games. Like this cracker biting competition, which I and Rafif claimed the first prize in our group!

Flag Raising Ceremony at Tara Salvia

It's great to know Aya and Rafif's School still uphold the nation old values, such as flag raising ceremony this morning. We, the parents also joined the ceremony, after probably 17 years of absence?

Indonesia Merdeka!

Aya and Rafif come to their school this morning to celebrate Indonesia Independence Day. They dressed in red and white. Ahem, mind that Liverpool jersey Rafif put on. That's the reddest shirt he has ;-)

Gift Exchange for the Kids

After completion of the games, the kids have their own ritual: gift-exchange. Not big in value, but priceless in their heart.
